Veteran’s Home Repair Pilot Program
Friday, October 7 saw a crew of MVAT volunteers working on service-disabled USAF Veteran Daniel Munoz’s Whittier, California home as part of a pilot program focused on Veteran’s Home Repair. Mr. Munoz was no longer able to keep up with the extensive repairs needed to keep his home habitable and safe for him and his extended family.
Television coverage of the effort was captured by local ABC and NBC affiliates, and footage from their interviews made the Evening News. The Whittier Daily News ran a story on the event that also appeared in the publisher’s other regional editions.
