One Minute of Silence

Today, Memorial Day 2017, consider making it a point to “go silent” to honor those who have died in service to our country, the United States of America. Whether you are on a golf course, at a picnic, attending a concert, enjoying a pool party or a barbecue, the 60 seconds you take to honor their sacrifice is but a moment in the day. But it is an important moment. It will help you remember the fact that your ability to enjoy this day is very much made possible because of those many sacrifices. ‘Freedom is not free’ is more than a slogan; it is a value. And values must be exercised.

So, at 3:00 pm local time, tell everyone around you about the National Moment of Remembrance and ask that they join you in this act of national unity and respect for our fallen – one minute of silence.
