Thank You to all Participants in the Golf Classic Tournament 2018

The 12th Annual Military and Veterans Appreciation Trust (MVAT) Foundation Golf Classic took place on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles, California. The awards dinner featured a keynote address by Medal of Honor recipient Sergeant Kyle White, USA (ret.).

The winner of the 2018 raffle for the Australia or New Zealand Adventure is Mr. Jason Latimer of Santa Monica, California. Congratulations to him!

Over the past decade, this event has grown into one of the leading golf tournament fundraisers in support of veteran services in greater Los Angeles. Check back for the full story, photos and video clips.

Thank you to everyone who participated. Your assistance allows the MVAT Foundation to to carry out our Heroes Linked program and our other endeavors to assist veterans and their families.

Since its inception, the MVAT Golf Classic has raised nearly $3 million for MVAT Foundation programming and support services including, veteran and spouse workforce integration, rehabilitation, health and well being, and housing.

Building on MVAT’s belief that there should be veterans in every workforce, this year’s tournament featured the foundation’s signature program, Heroes Linked. Heroes Linked is a no-cost, national resource for veterans transitioning service members, and military spouses to gain career guidance and professional development support from private sector professionals they otherwise could not.

Industry diverse and geographically dispersed, Heroes Linked’s network of volunteers, share their time and career knowledge to inform and better prepare veterans for successful and fulfilling post-military careers. With more than 1,000 active profiles in the Heroes Linked network, MVAT is proud to be providing a needed service and opportunity for all those who serve.
