Distinguished Service Award Virtual Event Honoring Don Schwarz

Please join us in honoring our esteemed Board Chair Don Schwarz with the inaugural MVAT Foundation Distinguished Service Award. This inaugural annual award, which will be renamed in Don’s honor as of next year, recognizes the recipient’s significant contributions to the welfare of the men and women who serve and have served in the U.S. Armed Forces – America’s veterans and their families. To ensure a fitting event for Don and to recognize his long-time leadership of the MVAT Foundation, your generous support is greatly appreciated.

If you know Don, then you know how deserving he is of this recognition. If you don’t, then suffice it to say that the MVAT Foundation and our impactful Heroes Linked program would not exist but for his incredible vision and efforts over the past 15 years.

Since the MVAT Foundation’s creation, Don has led annual campaigns that successfully raised millions of dollars to benefit veterans and their families in need, as well as ensuring the success of the Heroes Linked program, which provides critically needed post-military service career building for our young veterans and their spouses. It’s more important today than ever during the receding but still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The streamed event, to be broadcast in April, will feature powerful testimonials from those whose lives have been bettered through the very programs that Don championed.

Don’s story will be featured as well, along with emotional messages from those closest to Don and his work on behalf of veterans’ welfare. There also will be a moving tribute from recipients of the Medal of Honor who have given their support to our efforts. Perhaps most importantly, the event will conclude with a moving response from Don himself.
